Biography

Gina Stevens is an undergraduate at U.C. Davis in the earning her Bachelor’s degree in Clinical Nutrition. Post-grad, she will complete her Master’s in Nutritional Biology and subsequently her dietetic internship, which will qualify her to become a Registered Dietitian Nutritionist (RDN). Gina started and serves as Lead Director of the Davis Chapter of Kids in Nutrition, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit that mobilizes university volunteers to teach nutrition lessons to 1st and 2nd grade students through interactive games and activities. In addition to this, she has been an assistant to a dietitian based in Alameda since August of 2021 and has familiarized herself with industry standards, including insurance verification, ICD-10-CM codes, and nutrition assessments. Gina’s research interests focus on the relationship between diet and disease as well as community and infant nutrition.
